In a city with almost 120,000 dogs, I know I’m not alone in wanting the best for my sweet, spoiled, furry friend! Part of this includes knowing all the dog friendly spots in SF, because who wants to leave their best friend at home when they can join in the adventures!

Although we’re currently counting the hours until we can get back our old city lives, and crossing our fingers that this happens sooner than later, it’s nice to remember all the fun places that San Francisco has to offer. In many neighborhoods, you can find outdoor seating options for pet friendly dining. I’ve also found quite a few bars (pre COVID) that will let you party and hang with your pooch. If there is no food prepared on the premise, you can likely get away with bringing along your 4-legged friend.

It’s hard to beat San Francisco in its love of dogs. Not only are they welcome at boutiques, restaurants, parks, and beaches, the city also boasts luxury dog hotels, dog spa’s, specialty pet stores, and even special dog meet ups!

A major benefit of having a dog in SF is that it forces you to get out there and enjoy the nature the city has to offer. Enjoy a stroll through Golden Gate park, let them run free while you get some sun at Baker, or Ocean Beach, enjoy the views at Land’s End while getting your steps in, or enjoy a day of lounging and playing catch with friends and puppies at Dolores park.
