- Celebrate Pride like a local. Check out this article for some of the best places to eat, drink, and dance this month. Just a few of the suggestions: pick up a rainbow-shaped box of chocolates from Kokak Chocolates, sip a rainbow margarita at rooftop hotspot Barrio, where proceeds support the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, or check out the events calendar at longtime community mainstay El Rio.
- Head to Chinatown for the next Night Market on June 14. You’ll find it on three blocks of Grant Avenue, starting at 5:30. It’s the perfect way to start your weekend, you can sample some great food and enjoy the lively atmosphere. The Night Market recurs on the second Friday of each month.
- Kick back at the Whale’s Tail in Golden Gate Park. The seasonal weekend watering hole on JFK Promenade is back with a new name and now offers cocktails as well as beer and wine, live music, food trucks, and games.
- Check out Sundays at the Beach. Head to the Great Highway for a rotating series of free music, tai chai, or yoga every Sunday. See the schedule here.
- Dine out by the water. On a sunny day, there’s nothing better than eating outside with a view of the water. We do live on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by water after all, so there are plenty of choices. See this list for some great waterfront options.
